Fees and Cover
We are an ACC registered Chiropractic Clinic, so you can see an ACC chiropractor in Papatoetoe without a GP referral. If you have injured yourself in an accident, you can book directly with us. Your chiropractor assesses the injury at your first appointment and lodges the claim if it qualifies.

ACC provides cover for injuries resulting from an accident, such as a fall, lifting incident, sporting injury, motor vehicle accident or workplace accident. In chiropractic care, this commonly includes sprains, strains and injuries affecting the muscles, joints and spine.
ACC cover is available to people injured in New Zealand, including visitors, regardless of age or employment status. Claims should generally be lodged within 12 months of the accident, although older injuries may still be considered depending on the circumstances.
Conditions that develop gradually without a specific accident, such as osteoarthritis, are generally not covered and are treated at our standard rates. However, certain work-related conditions may qualify.
ACC makes the final decision on all claims. If you're unsure whether your injury is eligible, our team can help you understand your options and whether lodging a claim is appropriate.
Four steps, and we do most of them with you at the clinic.
Ask your chiropractor if you are unsure which rate applies to a particular appointment.
For an approved claim, ACC generally funds up to 16 allied-health treatments before additional approval may be required. This is not a guaranteed number of chiropractic visits, as treatment depends on your individual needs and recovery.
Your chiropractor will monitor your progress, explain your available cover and discuss further treatment options if necessary, including requesting additional approval from ACC.
If you're receiving other ACC-funded services, such as physiotherapy or acupuncture, you can use your existing ACC claim number with those providers, subject to eligibility and approval.
If your claim is accepted, you pay a reduced rate and ACC pays the rest directly to us. The current rates are on the fees page.
ACC and private health insurance provide different types of cover. If your condition isn't related to an accident, your health insurance may help towards the cost of chiropractic care, depending on your policy.
If your insurer offers chiropractic benefits, we're happy to provide a receipt for you to submit a claim directly to your insurance provider.
We recommend checking your policy with your insurer before booking, as coverage and reimbursement amounts may vary.
